Hofstra University basketball guard Amir Williams is entering the transfer portal, yesterday he announced via X. He will have four years of eligibility left in his college playing days, per his X account.

The 6-foot-5 Williams previously held offers from several college hoop programs, including Binghamton, Albany, Drexel, Hampton, Delaware, Buffalo, NJIT, among others, according to VerbalCommits.com, before committing the Lions.
Williams attended the highly acclaimed Neumann Goretti Catholic High School in Pennsylvania before college.
The Pride put up a 24-11 marl and went 12-6 in Costal Athletic Association (CAA) conference action in the 2025-26 campaign. After capturing the CAA title, Hofstra proceeded to make the NCAA March Madness Tournament but lost in the first round to Alabama, 90-70.
