Class of 2026 Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School (N.Y.) forward Shane Kirker has committed to Division I Mercyhurst University Lakers Men’s basketball program after de-committing from Navy, yesterday basketball media outlets reported via X.

Basketball scouts have described Kirker as a gifted, highly versatile player who can shoot the ball well from the outside, elude defenders while getting to the basket and finishing. Plus, on the defensive end, he can block and alter shots with his nice length and size.
Mercyhurst posted a 17-17 record and went 10-8 in Northeast Conference (NEC) action in the 2025-26 campaign.
