Miami Guard John Laboy II Transfers to Fordham University Men’s Basketball

Miami guard John Laboy, II is transferring to Fordham University Rams Men’s basketball program, yesterday basketball media outlets reported via X.

Laboy, a 6-foot-3, 194-pound freshman, averaged 1.2 points per game and made two steals in 27 minutes of play in six contests this past season.

He had committed to Columbia before reopening his recruitment and going to Miami.

He attended St. Francis Episcopal School in Houston, Texas, where he averaged 14.2 points, 4.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game as a senior. Additionally, Laboy led St. Francis Episcopal to the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) 4A state title

The Rams posted a 17-15 overall record and went 8-10 in the Atlantic 10 Conference action in the 2025-26 campaign.
