St. Joe’s Metuchen Star Andrew Kretkowski Garners Northwestern Men’s Hoops Offer

Class of 2027 St. Joe’s Metuchen High School (N.J.) forward Andrew Kretkowski has received an offer from Division I Northwestern Men’s basketball program, yesterday he wrote on X.

Additionally, the 6-foot-8 Somerset, N.J., native holds offers from Penn State, Rutgers, Bryant, Florida State, Arizona State, and Pepperdine, according to VerbalCommits.com.

Kretkowski, who also suits up for Team Final on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball league (EYBL) circuit, possesses a terrific skill set. He is a wonderful three-point shooter, soars high above the basket, defends several positions well, and is very coachable.

Kretkowski led St. Joe’s Metuchen with 545 points, and grabbed 255 rebounds (2nd on team), dished out 90 assists, and made 44 steals and 34 blocks in 31 games played this past season.

The Wildcats posted a 15-19 overall record and went 5-15 in Big 10 Conference in the 2025-26 campaign.
