From Rutgers to Kent State, Dorian Jones Tranfers to New School for Basketball

Rutgers guard Dorian Jones is transferring to Kent State Men’s basketball program, today hoops media outlets wrote on X.

The 6-foot-4, 160-pound guard red shirted in his freshman year at Rutgers.

Before college, Jones was the top-ranked high school player from the state of Ohio, averaging 17.2 points per game in the 2024-25 season with Richmond Heights.

Also, he earned first-team All-Ohio honors in Division V.

Kent State posted 24-10 overall record and went 14-4 Mid-American Conference (MAC) action on the 2025-26 campaign.
