Plus, with 2,342 hits during his playing career, Torre is the only former major leaguer to achieve both 2,000 hits as a player and 2,000 wins as a manager.
Meanwhile, Brosius enjoyed a solid MLB career with a .257 batting average, 141 home runs, and 531 RBI, highlighted by a 1998 World Series MVP award, along with two other World Series titles with Yankees.
