Trenton Thunder (MLB Draft League) catcher Augie Lopez has been bestowed with the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas (RWJ) Player of the Week award after hitting two home runs and three doubles, driving in four RBI, scoring five runs, drawing eight walks with an .833 SLG. percentage and 1.347 OPS percentage.

During the NCAA Tournament, he went 11-for-34 across eight games with two homers, two doubles and nine RBI.
Lopez’s strong offensive numbers earned him a spot on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team, as well as All-West Region honors.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Hermosa Beach, Calif., native played three varsity seasons at Loyola High School.
