Former MLB right-handed pitcher Zach Plesac has signed with the Gary SouthShore RailCats of the American Association, yesterday the league announced on X.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!On April 9, 2025, Plesac inked a contract with the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB). In seven starts for the Ducks, Plesac posted a 4–1 record and 2.84 ERA with 33 strikeouts over 38 innings of work. That earned him a shot with St. Louis Cardinals organization in June before electing free agency following the season.
Plesac, 31, pitched in six seasons for the Cleveland Indians/Guardians and Los Angeles Angels, going 27-28 during his time. But he has not seen a MLB mound since 2024.
