The Trenton Thunder signed Japanese prospect Rintaro Sasaki, who opted to play for Stanford instead of the Nippon Professional Baseball League. With exceptional stats, he will debut in the MLB Draft League on Tuesday and play his first home game on Friday.
The 26-year-old played in the Major League Baseball Draft League for the Trenton Thunder, hitting .300 with .382 OBP and five RBI in 34 at bats and 11 games this season.
The Keys play an 80 game MLB Draft League schedule with 40 home games and 40 away contests.
Hunt has not permitted a run in his first two starts of the season for the Thunder, posting nine innings of four hit-ball with two walks and 12 strikeouts.
