The Patrick School’s Zion Cruz Receives Offer from North Carolina Hoops


Zion Cruz of The Patrick School yesterday had garnered an offer from North Carolina Men’s Basketball, per Twitter sources.

Rising senior Zion Cruz, who also plays AAU Hoops the PSA Cardinals, is a hot prospect on the college recruiting trail.

Cruz, a 6-foot-3, 165-pound point guard, also owns offers from several Division I college hoop programs such as South Carolina, Creighton, Illinois, California, Indiana, Oregon, Maryland, Baylor, Ohio State, Louisville, Iowa, Alabama, Miami, Georgia Tech, DePaul, LSU, Syracuse, UConn, Auburn, St. John’s, Seton Hall, UCLA, Rutgers, and Bryant.

The rising senior out of Princeton, N.J., drained 200 points, dished out 26 assists, and grabbed 24 rebounds in 12 games this past high school basketball season.

North Carolina posted an 18-11 record and went 10-6 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) action in the 2020-21 college hoops campaign.
