Odessa College (Texas) and former Paul Robeson High School (Brooklyn, N.Y.) guard Aquarn Butler today has committed to the New Mexico State Aggies Basketball program, per his Twitter account.
This past season, Butler averaged 6.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and five assists for the Odessa Wranglers.
Butler, an ex-All-State New York Basketball first team member, averaged 4.5 points and 3.3 helpers per game for the Wranglers in 2018. Also, he made the WJCAC fall all-academic first team in the same year.
New Mexico State posted a 12-8 overall mark and went 7-6 in Western Athletic Conference (WAC) action in the 2020-21 campaign.
