Gastonia Honey Hunter, Former Met Jack Reinheimer Inks with KC Royals Organization


Today, Gastonia Honey Hunter and ex-New York Met infielder Jack Reinheimer has signed a contract with the Kansas City Royals organization, the team Tweeted.

Jack Reinheimer rejoins MLB organization with the Royals.

Reinheimer, 30, batted .310 with five home runs and 19 RBI along with slashing .422/.516/.938 in 185 at-bats in 40 games with the Honey Hunters in 2023.

Reinheimer enjoyed a terrific 2022 season with Gastonia, slugging 34 doubles and 12 home runs while stealing 55 bases to go along with a solid .806 OPS in 121 games.

Additionally, the Atlantic League named Reinheimer to the 2022 All Star and All-Defensive Teams.

Reinheimer played with the Mets in 2018, collecting five hits and scoring four runs with a stolen base in 30 at-bats in 21 contests.

The Charlotte, N.C., native also suited up for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2017.

The Atlanta Braves selected Reinheimer in the 31st round of the 2010 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, N.C.
