Former MLB Player Delino DeShields Jr. Joins Cleburne for 2026

Former big-league infielder Delino DeShields, Jr. has signed with the Cleburne Railroaders for the 2026 American Association campaign, today the league announced via X.

DeShields played with the Double-A Harrisburg Senators in the Washington Nationals organization, hitting .262 with six RBI, three stolen bases. and a .372 OPS in 103 at-bats in 37 games in the 2025 season.

He also saw action this past winter with the Piratas de Campeche of the Mexican Winter League.

The 33-year-old, who suited up for the Texas Rangers, Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds, returns to Cleburne after hitting .291 in 34 contests in 2023.

Additionally, DeShields Jr. is the son of ex-MLBer Delino DeShields and the brother of former WNBA basketball player Diamond DeShields.
