Robert Stock, Joe DeCarlo Capture LI Ducks’ Pitcher, Player of the Month Awards, Respectively

Long Island Ducks pitcher and former four-year MLB veteran Robert Stock has won the team’s Starting Pitcher of the Month award, while catcher Joe DeCarlo picked up the Player of the Month honor, for the month of August, yesterday the club Tweeted.

Robert Stock and Joe DeCarlo earn Picher and Player of the Month Awards, respectively.

Stock, a second round 2009 MLB June Amateur Draft of the St. Louis Cardinals, made five starts, going 2-1 with a 1.93 ERA, tying him for second-best among all Atlantic League starting pitchers.

DeCarlo, a second round 2012 MLB Draft selection of the Seattle Mariners, paced the Ducks in several offensive categories: runs (19), total bases (52), doubles (7), triples (1) and walks (17) while finishing second in home runs (6) and RBI (18).

The soon-to-be 30-year-old spent the first eight campaigns of his career (2012-19) in Seattle’s organization, reaching as high as Double-A Arkansas.
