The Lake Country DockHounds of the American Assocation recently have announced that they have re-inked outfielder and first baseman Marek Chlup, a player from the Czech Republic.
Chlup slashed .325/.393/.627 with nine home runs and 25 RBI in 34 games last year with the DockHounds.
Before the 2023 campaign, the 24-year-old played in the 2023 World Baseball Classic with Czech Republic.
In college, Chlup suited up for Division II North Greenville University in South Carolina, hitting .390 in 2022 and .323 in 2021. Plus, he had an impressive OPS of 1.150 in 2022 and 1.073 in 2021.
Additionally, he saw limited action at NC State, collecting seven hits in just 40 plate appearances in his first two seasons of colligate baseball.
