Italian Native, Ex-St. Mary’s Forward Massimo Moretti Commits to D2 Emmanuel Hoops

Former St. Mary’s High School (Lancaster, N.Y.) power forward Massimo Moretti has verbally committed to Division II Emmanuel University Men’s basketball program after playing at Jacksonville College (JUCO) in Texas last season, yesterday he announced via X.

The 6-foot-9 Moretti, who is a Naples, Italy, native, averaged 7.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game with the Jaguars in the 2023-24 campaign.

Additionally, Moretti is a defensive presence, blocking eight shots and making five steals with Jacksonville College this past season.

In high school, he won a CHSAA Class B Championship with St. Mary’s in 2022, leading the Lancers with 29 points, 18 rebounds, and six blocks.

Emmauel posted a 26-7 mark and went 16-2 in Conference Carolinas action in 2023-24.
