Kiwane Garris, Jr. Receives Division I Offer from NJIT Men’s Basketball Program

Class of 2025 Mount Vernon Presbyterian (Ga.) combo guard Kiwane Garris, Jr. has received an offer from Division I New Jersey Insititute of Technolgy (NJIT) Men’s basketball program, yesterday he wrote on X.

In addition to the Highlanders’ offer, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound Roswell, Ga., native holds D-1 offers from Kennesaw, Georgia State and Old Dominion, according to VerbalCommits.com.

Garris, the Georgia 1-A Player of the Year, previously attended Grayson High School and also plays AAU basketball for Team Honcho 3SSB. Also, his dad was a standout player at Illinois.

NJIT posted a 7-21 overall record and went 3-13 in America East Conference (AEC) action in the 2023-24 campaign.
