Rivers School Forward Andrew Alekseyenko Verbally Commits to Colgate University D-1 Basketball Program

Class of 2025 The Rivers School (Mass.) forward Andrew Alekseyenko has verbally committed to Division I Colgate University Raiders Men’s basketball team, yesterday he wrote on X.

Andrew Alekseyenko lands at D-1 Colgate University Men’s hoops program in Upstate New York.

Additionally, the 6-foot-8 Weston, Mass., native held offers from several D-1 schools including Cornell, NJIT, Albany, UPenn, Navy, Boston University, among other programs, according to VerbalCommits.com.

“I chose Colgate because of the great academics and winning culture they have,” he wrote on X.

Alekseyenko’s size allows him to muscle himself inside and score in traffic. But he also possesses the moves of a smaller guard, darting quickly to where he wants to go. On top of that, Alekseyenko owns a nice outside jumper, even from beyond the arc, and utilizes his long arms to blocks shots on the regular.

Alekseyenko, who also suited up for White Mamba AAU squad, attended Brookline High School before transferring to The Rivers School.

The Raiders posted a 25-10 overall record and went 16-2 in Patriot League Conference play in the 2023-24 campaign.
