Iona University Men’s basketball has landed a verbal commitment from class of 2025 Oak Hill Academy (Va.) forward Deondrea Lindsey, yesterday he announced on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Additionally, the 6-foot-8, 212-pound Lindsey held offers from Tennessee, Georgia Tech, SMU, Georgetown and Ole Miss, per VerbalCommits.com.
Lindsey was ranked No. 103 in the state of Virginia 2025 247 Sports Rankings as of late January. The senior previously attended Knoxville Catholic High School in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Gaels are 14-16 overall and 11-8 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) this season. Iona will host Sacred Heart Saturday at 4:00 p.m. to end the regular season.
