Long Island Ducks have signed outfielder Chris Roller for the upcoming 2025 Atlantic League season, today the team announced via X, formerly known as Twitter.
Ducks manager Lew Ford is excited about adding Roller’s skill set to the club in 2025, with the intent of helping him return to “The Show.”
“Chris adds power, speed and a strong glove to our lineup,” Ducks Manager Lew Ford said on LIDucks.com. “He reached the game’s highest level last year, and we’re excited to help him get back to the big leagues.”
Roller, 28, spent the beginning of 2024 with the Triple-A Nashville Sounds, hitting 10 home runs, driving in 41 runs, scoring 47 runs, collecting 67 hits, 15 doubles and three triples with nine stolen bases and 33 walks.
Defensively, the Austin, Texas, native sparkled on the field, sporting a .991 fielding percentage across all three outfield positions, and committed just two errors while throwing out six base runners.
The Milwaukee Brewers promoted him to the big club, playing in one game against the Pittsburgh Pirates in a 10-2 win on May 15th at American Family Field.
Additionally, Roller suited up in the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Guardians organizations during his minor league career, playing in a total of 539 contests with 44 homers, 243 RBI, 278 runs, 411 hits, 99 doubles, 18 triples, 81 steals and 235 walks.

The Dodgers selected Roller in the 30th round of the 2017 MLB Amateur Draft out of McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas.
