Brooklyn Cyclones’ Jesus Baez Named SAL Player of the Week


Brooklyn Cyclones (High-A) shortstop Jesus Baez has earned the South Atlantic League (SAL) Player of the Week honor after batting .647 (11-for-17), clubbing two home runs, driving in 10 runs, scoring six runs with a .739 OBP and 1.798 OPS this past week, today the Cyclones announced.

Beaz is the seventh-rated New York Mets prospect, and is hitting .278 with five longballs, 25 RBI, 27 runs scored, six stolen bases, .360 OBP, and .770 OPS in 144 at-bats thus far this season.
