Former Lincoln High QB Nahseem Deas Joins Long Island University

It looks like Nahseem Deas, former quarterback for Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, is headed to back home to the New York area, as he signed with Long Island University (LIU) Brooklyn’s Division I football program, just two days after receiving an offer from the Sharks, today he announced on X.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Deas was not part of Bethune-Cookman’s roster last season, but he did not appear in any games.

Before committing to LIU, he held offers from DII colleges Shaw and Kentucky State, per his X account.

Deas, who also ran track in high school, completed 62 of 82 passes for 854 yards and five touchdowns while running for 314 yards on 45 carries with eight scores during his senior year. He also threw for five touchdowns and found the end zone on the ground three times in two postseason tilts, according to PSAL.org.

The Sharks posted a 4-8 overall mark and went 3-3 in Northeast Conference (NEC) action in the 2024-25 campaign.
