The Staten Island FerryHawks have announced that Carlos Mirabal has been named new manager of the team for the upcoming 2026 Atlantic League season, today the FerryHawks announced on social media.

He was the manager of baseball operations for Baseball United, where he worked on developing and improving baseball cultures in countries such as India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka in 2024.
Also, he coached for the Rockland Boulders (Frontier League) and the Cologne Cardinals of the first Bundesliga North, the top tier of German professional baseball.
Also, Mirabal last pitched professionally for Aigles de Trois-Rivières (Canada) of the Frontier League from 2022-2023.
No stranger to the ten-club MLB Partner League, the 52-year-old also took the mound for the now-defunct Newark Bears of the Atlantic League for three years (2006-08), picking up 15 wins during his time in Northern New Jersey.
Overall, Carlos Mirabal put up a 39-28 with 37 saves and a 4.32 ERA in 180 games in Nippon Pro Baseball, 26-20 with 17 saves and a 3.09 ERA in 112 contests in Taiwan’s two top leagues. Plus, 22-23 with a 5.37 ERA in 70 tilts in the U.S. minors.
The FerryHawks open up the 2026 campaign on Tuesday, April 21st against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs on the road. They return for their home opener on Friday, April 24th, at 7:00 p.m. versus the Blue Crabs.
