Trey Williams Receives D1 Offer from Cornell University Men’s Basketball

Class of 2026 Loyola Academy (Ill.) guard Trey Williams has received an offer from Division I Cornell University Big Red Men’s basketball program, today he wrote on X.

Additionally, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound Chicago, Ill., native holds offers from Darthmouth and Navy, per VerbalCommits.com.

Williams, who also suits up for Breakaway Basketball 3SSB squad, is a floor general with keen court vision, more than capable of delivering pinpoint passes from any spot on the hardwood. Plus, his hoop fundamentals are rock solid—sharp footwork, smart decision-making skills, and a high basketball acumen that elevates team play to another level.

He also thrives on the intangibles, doing the little things that do not always show up on the stat sheet. A reliable shooter with a smooth jumper, he’s dangerous in transition, consistently turning defense into offense. With a tight handle and strong finishing ability, Williams is a complete guard who impacts the game on both ends of the floor.

Big Red posted an overall 18-11 record and went 9-5 in Ivy League Conference action in the 2024-25 campaign.
