New Yorker Tylik Weeks Transfers to Memphis Tigers Basketball

After a year at Southern Mississippi, junior forward Tylik Weeks, a New Yorker, is transferring to Memphis Tigers Men’s basketball program, today hoops media outlets reported.

Weeks averaged 19.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game with Southern Miss last season.

Before that, he averaged 21.0 points, 8.3 boards and 5.5 assists per game as a sophomore at Southwest Mississippi Community College in the 2024-25 campaign.

Weeks, who is from Queens, N.Y., attended Brooklyn Theater Arts High School at South Shore in Canarsie, Brooklyn, where he averaged 7.7 points and 7.25 rebounds in 12 regular season Public School Athletic League (PSAL) games during the 2021-22 season. In the playoffs, he added 19 points in seven tilts.

The Tigers put up a 13-19 mark and went 8-10 in American Conference in the 2025-26 campaign.
