New Jersey’s Brendan Oliver Transfers Home to Play College Hoops at NJIT

Canisius forward Brendan Oliver is transferring to New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Men’s basketball program, today he announced on X.

The 6-foot-6 West Orange, New Jersey, native–who attended Blair Academy in New Jersey–averaged 3.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, and connect on 38.5 percent of his shots from the hardwood as a freshman this past year.

In high school. Oliver dropped in 241 points in 20 games, and was “tasked with guarding the other team’s best player the entire winter,” during the 2024-25 season, per Blair Academy head coach Joe Mantegna via X.

NJIT posted a 16-17 overall record and went 10-6 in American East Conference (AEC) action in the 2025-26 campaign.
