Class of 2027 East Orange High School (N.J.) guard James Roberts has received an offer from Division 1 Texas Southern University (TSU) Men’s basketball program, his AAU program, Panthers Basketball, recently wrote on X.

Roberts drained team-bests offensive categories with 531 points, 219 rebounds, and 110 assists last season.
James Roberts uses his expectational dribbling skills to get around defenders and finish at the hoop. Plus, he is a very adept long-range shooter and can hit just about anywhere on the hardwood.
More importantly, though, he sports a 4.2 GPA.
TSU posted a 12-18 overall record and went 10-8 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) action in the 2025-26 campaign.
