JC pressured the goalkeeper forcing an errant pass, and an assist from teammate Peter Mangione allowed Obregón the opportunity to banged one home into an empty net.
He scored his second marker of the match just six minutes later, as he was taken down inside the box and the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Obregón stepped up to take the penalty kick himself and smashed it into the top left corner of the goal for his fifth tally of the USL Championship season.
In the match, he maintained a 70 percent passing rate as well as having three shots on target, winning eight duels, and five fouls for his team. Obregón also appeared off the bench in Brooklyn’s penultimate match of the season this week, playing 13 minutes at the end of a 2-1 loss to Birmingham Legion.
Obregón earned his third Team of the Week Honor this season, appearing in the starting XI in Week 1 and a bench nomination in Week 19/20.
