The right-handed Sproat, New York’s top-ranked minor league player on MLB Pipeline and second round draft selection in 2023, combined to post a 7-4 record with a 3.40 ERA in 24 games over three levels in 2024.
In addition to the aforementioned stats, the 24-year-old whiffed 131 hitters in 116.1 innings of work.
Tong, the Mets’ 10-ranked prospect on MLB Pipeline and 7th round 2022 draft pick, posted a 6-4 mark with a 3.03 ERA in 113.0 frames.
Also, the 21-year-old added 160 strikeouts while limiting opposing hitters to a .204 batting average across three minor league stops in New York’s system, reaching as high as Double-A Binghamton this past season.
