Rodney Brown Jr. Joins Seton Hall Basketball Team After Leaving Loyola Marymount

Loyola Marymount guard Rodney Brown, Jr. is transferring to Division I Seton Hall University Men’s basketball program, per basketball media outlets.

The 6-foot-6, 185 pound junior averaged 14.0 points per game this past season while leading the West Coast Conference (WCC) in made three pointers with 87 and shooting 38.2 percent from three-point land.

Brown attended Virginia Tech as sophomore, appearing in 18 games, totaling 74 points, 14 three-pointers, 37 rebounds, and 32 assists in 2024-25.

Additionally, the skilled shooter suited up for the California Golden Bears during the 2023-24, averaging 3.5 points and 1.1 boards in 14.1 minutes per contest off the bench as a freshman.

The Pirates posted a 21-12 overall record and went 10-10 in Big East Conference play in the 2025-26 campaign.
