Chatham High School (N.J.) senior infielder/outfielder John Tyler Jacobs has verbally committed to Division III Rowan University’s formidable baseball program, today he announced via Instagram.

The 6-foot-1, 181-pound Jacobs, who also suited up for Locked In Expos, enjoyed a terrific season, slugging .416 with three home runs, 26 RBI, and scored 25 runs with a .662 slugging percentage in 77 at-bats with the Cougars this past season.
Chatham posted a 20-7 record and made it to the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) North Jersey, Section 2, Group 3 Semifinal Round, a 4-2 defeat to South Plainfield.
Rowan posted a 38-12 overall record, went 14-4 in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) action in 2026, and has appeared in back-to-back NCAA D3 World Series appearances.
