J.J. Starling Announces Transfer to Buffalo Men’s Basketball from Syracuse

Ex-Syracuse senior guard J.J. Starling has signed with Division I Buffalo Men’s basketball program, today college hoop sources wrote on X.

The 6-foot-4 Starling averaged 10.9 points and 2.7 rebounds per game along with dishing out 72 assists for the Orange this past season.

Additionally, J.J. Starling–a former five-star recruit in the 2022 class–averaged 17.8 points per contest during the 2024-25 campaign. He also suited up for Notre Dame as a freshman.

Before attending college, he played for Baldwinsville/La Lumiere School, Ind. high schhols.

Syracuse put up a 15-17 overall mark and went 6-12 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) action in the 2025-26 campaign.
